Radiant Barrier

Benefits:

  • Reflects Infrared Radiant Heat that insulation does not
  • Keeps insulation cooler, retaining its R-value
  • Maintenance free after installation

Radiant Barrier reflects the sun’s infrared heat light (radiant heat) away from your
cooled and heated spaces, whereas insulation only protects from the movement of

Radiant Barrier

Benefits:

  • Costs Less than Fiberglass
  • Higher R-value with less insulation
  • More environmentally friendly to make and use
  • Better Resulting Air Quality in Home

Cellulose insulation is made of about 75% recycled newsprint, chemically treated to be extremely flame resistant and insect/rodent repellent.  It takes 1/5th of the energy to produce cellulose than it does fiberglass. It takes less cellulose to insulate your home and it is less expensive per cubic foot.

Cellulose Insulation

Benefits:

  • Most commonly used insulation
  • Uses Recycled Glass
  • Less impact from Moisture and Roof Leaks

Fiberglass is the most widely used insulation medium.  It withstands water mishaps
in the attic better than cellulose.  All insulation compacts over long peeriods of time,
but fiberglass compacts less.  Fiberglass will “snow” less out of the attic because the
fibers are much larger than cellulose.
